Artifacts and their bonuses

Learn how to win artifact fragments in mysterious valleys and which bonuses completed artifacts provide.
Artifacts are ancient treasures that strengthen your kingdom. They can increase resource production, troop attack, defence, luck or movement speed. Once an artifact is complete, its bonus takes effect automatically in all your settlements.

How do you obtain an artifact?

Find valleys on the map. Choose a settlement, squad and reachable valley. Open “Defenders and rewards” and choose an easy, medium or hard level.

The first fragment of each artifact has initial defenders, the second has reinforced defenders and the third has the strongest defenders. Progress on other artifacts does not strengthen them. Defenders at the same site, activation and fragment stage are identical for everyone. Each player fights a full army; defeat does not weaken it.

Choose cautious observation or infiltration. One spy is enough for observation: it safely reports unit types and quantity ranges. Infiltration may reveal exact counts, but can cost spies. On failure, returning spies bring approximate data; if none return, you gain no intelligence. One scouting attempt that reaches the valley is allowed per activation. Intelligence becomes available only on return. You can attack without scouting.

Approximate quantities use broad fixed ranges: 1–24, 25–99, 100–399, 400–1599, 1600–6399, etc. Scouting describes all quantities within the same range identically; the midpoint is not an estimate of the actual count.

Win and bring the fragment home to extend your collection. Three fragments of the same artifact activate its bonus automatically.

What should you know?

  • You can receive one fragment in each shared four-day period, regardless of the valley or settlement you choose. Missed opportunities do not accumulate.
  • Only one expedition can be active at a time. Up to 12 departures are allowed during the last seven days; both attacks and scouting count.
  • Travel time depends on the slowest troop you select. Check the time before leaving: your squad must reach the valley before it closes.
  • You cannot receive further fragments of an artifact you have already completed. Expeditions end once you complete the entire collection.

Valleys reward artifact fragments; there are no resource or ducat rewards. Only victories with a successfully returned fragment count towards the valley ranking: one defeated defender earns one point.
